Head's Up!

Went to the Houston Zoo a couple weeks ago with Anne and the boys and some of their Houston cousins. I liked this shot the best -- great color and no ugly cages to deal with. Lucky that one of the flamingos was taking a break in the feeding action.

Jewel Movie Theater, Humble, Tx. Built mid-1930s. No longer a theater but the beautiful sign has been preserved.

Humble City Cafe

Anne and I went on a little dinner date to Humble City Cafe. Good southern home-style cooking.

Christmas tree at Kings Harbor, Kingwood.

To know her is to love her

Rare photo op of Aimee who typically shuns the camera. This shot captures a little bit of my "spunky monkey". (Taken after enduring another lice treatment.)

Christmas Lizard

Andrew found this lizard hanging out on our poinsettia this afternoon. He didn't like being photographed but I did get this shot. Wish I had had time to set up the tripod.

The girls are getting excited to attend the Nutcracker this weekend.

Beauty Berries - Double Lake, Tx

Some berry-looking things on the side of the mountain bike trail at Double Lake.

Double Lake

Went camping with Andrew to Double Lake, about 45 min. from Kingwood. This shot was taken about 50 feet from our campsite just after sunrise. This paved trail runs around the small lake.

Andrew identified the blue heron and helped me set up this shot. The lighting is a little harsh but the reflection does it for me.
